Job Description

✨ Position :

We are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to join our Paris or Hong Kong hub.

🎯 What we expect from you :

  • Start projects (IoT / Robotics / Embedded Systems etc.) from scratch and lead the embedded systems architecture and development (Linux or C/C++ environment)

  • Scale existing projects from prototyping phase to industrialization

  • Work hand-in-hand on cross-disciplinary projects with other product engineers (mechatronics, electronics, software, etc.)

  • Demonstrate big ownership, take initiatives and work autonomously and rigorously

  • A high-level of Product Management skills (we have no product managers at Sparkmate, we believe the best product managers are the product engineers ;))

  • Lead and contribute to product strategy, design, architecture, and engineering, focusing on electronics, and embedded software... but there’s room for more if you like to explore!

  • Communicate and interact with clients, external partners.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for fearless makers with some previous experience on embedded systems and hardware products.

On the tech side, we expect a good knowledge of :

  • C/C++ firmware development on microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32...

  • Linux software development

  • Electronics basics and understanding of various technologies: 4G / GNSS / LTE-M / LoRa / BLE / WiFi / CAN bus / RS485 bus etc.

Other skills needed:

  • Skills in electronics is a plus (sensors, actuators, PCB design, high voltage environments, etc.)

  • Experience with production and industrialization is a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work in an international and fast-paced environment, adapt to changes and overcome challenges as they arise.

  • English is mandatory

  3. Interview with Maxime, Co-founder and COO => Make sure you have the ability/technical potential to join Sparkmate

  4. Interview with Morgan, Co-founder and CEO => Make sure you fit in the team

  5. Job Offer (final offer pending on technical test)

  6. Technical test in one of our office => Validate that you are the right person for our company
