Sparkmate is the first venture studio that is 100% dedicated to climate tech and hardware innovations. As a tribe of fearless makers, we are on a mission to solve our world's most pressing problems with hard tech and industrial solutions. Over the past four years, we've powered over 100 innovative projects and developed a proven methodology to spark the impossible.

In 2023, we launched the Hardware Startup Factory, focusing exclusively on sustainability challenges in industries such as clean manufacturing, transportation and mobility, CCUS, and waste management. We partner with visionary founders and large corporations to create impactful, large-scale solutions. At Sparkmate, we play the long game, aiming to build something legendary. We are seeking ambitious entrepreneurs to lead our next ventures from concept to scalable deployment. deployment.

As the founding CEO, you will lead our next climate tech venture from concept to scalable deployment. This is a unique opportunity to drive transformative climate action and build a company poised to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's vision and strategy.

  • Lead fundraising efforts, manage investor relations, and spearhead strategic partnerships.

  • Recruit and manage a tribe of builders and experts

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the company’s mission

  • Be the face of the company and voice of the mission

  • Lean into the ambiguity and challenges of an early-stage startup

Preferred Experience

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership in scaling businesses, either as a tech startup founder or as a senior executive in the corporate sector with extensive operational and go-to-market strategy experience.

  • Strong operational background

  • Experience in the following industries is preferred but not required: Clean manufacturing, Clean transportation and mobility, CCUS & Waste management

  • Proven ability to attract investment, enhance company valuation, and inspire early-stage teams.

  • Comfortable navigating the uncertainties and challenges of an early-stage startup environment.

  • Deep commitment to climate protection and sustainability.
